“More deaths have been attributed to the COVID vaccine in the last four months than to all previous vaccines combined,” Tucker Carlson claims.

This is a lie.  There have been no–zero–deaths attributed to any of the coronavirus vaccines.  None.  Nada.  Nichts.  The VAERS system–the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System–Carlson refers to is an open-source reporting system that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states, explicitly, that does not contain verified data.  It lists all adverse reactions, including people who died coincidentally to receiving any vaccine, not because of it.  As the site itself says:

• Vaccine providers are encouraged to report any clinically significant health problem following vaccination to VAERS, whether or not they believe the vaccine was the cause.
• Reports may include incomplete, inaccurate, coincidental and unverified information.

Being an open source system, it has also been compromised by anti-vaxxers to falsely discredit vaccines, a common ploy with many paranoid, conspiracy-driven people like Tucker Carlson.

The VAERS system reports that more than 2,800 people in the US had been reported to have died after receiving the vaccine.  Six reported dental discomfort; 704, discomfort; 18, erectile dysfunction; four, gingivitis (bad breath), and four reported a broken foot.  How a vaccine causes a broken foot, Carlson has yet to explain.  Nor can he explain how seven people had “grunting” as a reaction.

It is also not a system set up by the Biden Administration; it’s been in place about three decades, collecting data from 1990 on.

How unreliable is the reported data in VAERS?  A report from 2004 notes that the patient reported that after receiving his influenza vaccine, he turned into the Incredible Hulk.
