A recent report from the Washington Post indicates that traffic to the former guy’s blog has cratered in recent weeks. The Post reports that traffic to the site has fallen from a high of over 150,000 visits per day, to less than 15,000. The site has also seen a substantial drop in Facebook shares, leading many to wonder if the Russian GRU has pulled some of their botnet support from Trump. Has the Kremlin decided that the former guy is just too far gone and needs to be packed up and shipped off to the home? Did Kremlin military leaders decide that without Republicans controlling the Department of Justice it was just too risky to keep boosting Trump’s figures?
We must also consider the possibility that when many Americans saw Trump’s disjointed ramblings on Twitter, they gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed his bizarre syntax was due to the limitations of the Twitter format. Many expected that when given a more expansive format, that Trump might sound more coherent, but he hasn’t. In spite of having all the space in the world to express himself, Trump still communicates in short, disjointed phrases, and even though it’s obvious he has someone typing the entries for him to help avoid typos and mis-spellings, people are still forced to face the fact that he’s just a senile and incoherent old man who doesn’t express himself very well. The reason Twitter worked for Trump is the compressed format helped conceal the fact that he’s a moron. Even when Trump does post longer pieces to his blog, there’s no coherent theme or argumentative structure present. His comments are just a running barrage of personal grievance and conspiracy theories.
Trump has apparently doomed any prospects of running for office again by running off at the fingers and showing the word what a stupid jackass he really is.
