You don’t like having everything you believe and know to be true simply mocked and derided by some snot-nosed American punk millennial on his stupid website, do you? Your son, a valued member of the National Zero community (who shall remain doubly anonymous here) asked me to write you this open letter in an effort to put your worldview into relief against equally inane ramblings of a guy who only reads such things to inform obnoxious satire.
He’s a little worried about you. I’m worried too, about you and about a lot of other parents, children, brothers, sisters, friends, acquaintances out there who subscribe to insane bullshit that exists outside the realm in which the rest of operate. The borders of that realm are by no means clearly defined. Some of us (myself included) believe that the US Government isn’t telling us everything it knows about UFOs. Others believe that Trump owes hundreds of millions of dollars to Russian criminals and that was the reason he was so deferential to them. Some others believe Tom Brady and Bill Belichick won their six Super Bowls together as the result of cheating.
All of those more conventional-ish beliefs are supported by anecdotal evidence – reported or recorded, not fabricated or imagined – that are interpreted and connected via conjecture by different parties. Thinking a fucking cicada landing on Joe Biden on camera was some kind of secret message from Q is not supported by anything, at all.
Maybe you don’t believe that cicada one, but who knows. Leave aside all of the “question everything” with sources of information and question this: Do you believe the stories about the dangers of vaccines and the return of Trump because you’ve seen them reported reliably, or do you believe them because you want them to be true?
It’s not a hard question to ask yourself. In fact I can answer it right now: I want to believe UFOs are really alien spacecraft, that Trump is and was in hock to the Russians, and Tom Brady and Bill Belichick cheated because aliens would be cool, I hate Trump, and I’m a Jets fan, respectively.
Now answer the same about what you believe regarding vaccines and Trump. And really think about it. And if you’re up for it, compare all of those beliefs to each other by what’s supported by reporting in news sources that exist outside your sphere. What can you find about Trump’s reinstatement outside your Facebook groups? What does ABC News say about UFOs? What does the New York Times say about vaccine-induced human magnetism?

PPS: Did you know that eating carrots doesn’t actually improve your ability to see in the dark? That’s a very old and very persistent misconception about the benefits of eating the vegetables. For most of my life I thought it was true too, until a few years ago when I found out that it was the result of a literal military psy-op to keep secret technology hidden. Here’s where it was EXPOSED:
During the 1940 Blitzkrieg, the Luftwaffe often struck under the cover of darkness. In order to make it more difficult for the German planes to hit targets, the British government issued citywide blackouts. The Royal Air Force were able to repel the German fighters in part because of the development of a new, secret radar technology. The on-board Airborne Interception Radar (AI), first used by the RAF in 1939, had the ability to pinpoint enemy bombers before they reached the English Channel. But to keep that under wraps, according to Stolarczyk’s research pulled from the files of the Imperial War Museum, the Mass Observation Archive, and the UK National Archives, the Ministry provided another reason for their success: carrots.
In 1940, RAF night fighter ace, John Cunningham, nicknamed “Cat’s Eyes”, was the first to shoot down an enemy plane using AI. He’d later rack up an impressive total of 20 kills – 19 of which were at night. According to “Now I Know” writer Dan Lewis, also a Smithsonian.com contributor, the Ministry told newspapers that the reason for their success was because pilots like Cunningham ate an excess of carrots.
Personally I don’t find anyone who believes eating carrots improves one’s night vision to be crazy, mostly owing to the fact that it was something I considered to be conventional wisdom for most of my life. We got the wrong idea because that’s what we were told.
It’s wrong, but there’s nothing wrong with it. This isn’t harming yourself or anyone else if you haven’t been disabused of “Carrotgate” yet. And yet, all the same it was an actual “military psyop”.
The government of Britain really did lie to its people in 1940. They knowingly and willingly put out misinformation to perpetuate their own power – which was the only thing standing in the way of national annihilation at the hands of the Third Reich. They lied to win because they sincerely believed it to be the best interests of their people. Think hard on that last one.
