In a report on the Seattle Police Department Public Relations page, police chief Adrian Diaz let rip on officers Alexander and Caitlin Everett.
Diaz’s statement begins: “Today, I issued my final discipline in the case of two officers found to have been in Washington, D.C., on January 6th. Based on the evidence presented to me and the statement of the officers themselves, I have terminated their employment with the Seattle Police Department, effective immediately.”
The disciplinary reports for Alexander and Caitlin Everett state that they both entered into an area where a riot was taking place. Although the officers reported stated that people were behaving peacefully and they had no idea officers were being attacked, he disciplinary reports state: “…video stills show you standing in the immediate vicinity of the Capital Building and contradict your claim that you were unaware that you were trespassing or that this was anything other than a peaceful protest. The still footage from the video makes it abundantly clear that you were in direct view of rioters lining the steps and climbing the walls.”
The statements also accuse the officers of: “You criminally trespassed in the immediate vicinity of the Capitol Building while a
riot was ongoing. You added to the crowd of people within the restricted area with whom law enforcement had to contend, and by taking no constructive action. Your behavior greatly diminished public trust and confidence in you, in other law enforcement officers, and in the Department as a whole.”
The officers also failed to report the nature of their conduct, and appear to have been dishonest with department investigators, the report states: “You knew or should have known that your actions constituted potential criminal trespass, as such, you were required to self-report to a supervisor or OPA but did not do so. You stated in the investigation that you were unable to report because you were immediately put on administrative leave and ordered not to discuss the matters being reviewed. Your actions occurred on January 6; you were placed on leave on January 9″ You had ample time to report potential misconduct and did not do so.”
It feels good to see a police chief let rip on a couple of dirty MAGA cops. The Seattle Police Department is a better organization for these two shitheads being booted off the force. Let them head East into the hills of Washington where they can spend their lives putting up with a bunch of Neo-Nazi, Sovereign Citizen and Three Percenter shitheads. Also, I really hope the fact that these two are officers and that they were blatantly dishonest with the police department that employed them is brought up at trial, because it will completely destroy any attempt at claiming ignorance of the law or a lack of criminal intent.
