Russian spy Maria Butina, convicted in 2018 of spying for Mother Russia while she was embedded in the NRA and sleeping with some asshole Republican consultant – and QAnon asshole former Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne on the side – was declared the winner in her election for a seat in Russia’s parliament on Sunday, Insider reports. Since Butina was running as member of Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party, the election was definitely rigged and the outcome wasn’t really in doubt, though politicians over there do fuck up at cheating from time to time.
