Medina Spirit, 2021 Kentucky Derby winner known as the Lance Armstrong of horses for his doping and cheating ways, died tragically Monday morning of a heart attack while working out at the Arcadia Racetrack in Santa Anita, California at the age of 3, CBS Los Angeles reports.
Known for his neighing and competitive drive to win while bolstered by banned chemicals being injected into him by a team of amoral veterinarians, Medina Spirit touched the lives of many divorced uncles who spend their remaining years drinking cheap beer and smoking off-brand cigarettes in depressing OTB parlors nationwide. May he horse around in Valhalla eternally.
