On Friday, U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich of the District of Columbia spiked a motion by two Capitol riot defendants attempting to dismiss felony charges of obstructing an official proceeding, National Law Journal reports. The ruling is important as it sets a precedent going forward for other defendants charged in the insurrection, surely to make it extremely difficult, if not impossible, for other rioters to have the count tossed.
