CBS News has a breaking story that then Vice President-elect Kamala Harris was evacuated from the Democratic National Headquarters in Washington, DC on January 6, 2021 after one of two bombs placed by an unknown terrorist was found outside the building.
Recently reviewed Secret Service records showed the protection agency evacuated Harris from the building at 1:14 p.m. ET, just seven minutes after the pipe bomb was identified.
Another pipe bomb was later found at the Washington, DC headquarters. Law enforcement officials stated that the bombs were functional, but did not explode because their timers did not go off.
