Trump Organization CFO Alan Weaselberg asked a judge on Tuesday to dismiss the case against him, claiming the indictment on charges of tax fraud were “politically motivated,” the New York Times reports. Why it should matter if the Manhattan District Attorney being a Democrat somehow invalidates the case was not explained, because if he committed tax fraud then well he fucking committed tax fraud and it doesn’t matter if his boss is the disgraced former Republican President.
