The oneupsmanship of GOP performance artists continues: now, Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis–obviously worried that he’ll lose the title of most vile (claims to be) straight cis-male in America–has stated he will ship undocumented immigrants in Florida to President Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware, Fox News reports.
DeSantis’s announcement came hours after Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott–another contender for most vile (claims to be) straight cis-male in America crown–announced he would be kidnapping and shipping undocumented immigrants to the Capitol in Washington, DC to show Biden, even though Biden works at the White House, not the Capitol.
The DeSantis move would face similar legal challenges as Abbott’s plan; those being the fact that they want to kidnap people and move them across state lines to be political props without being paid or otherwise compensated. While this may sound a lot like slavery, Abbott claims he’ll be asking for volunteers to be shipped across state lines to be political props without being paid or otherwise compensated.
