Russian military sources on Saturday confirmed the Deputy Chief of the 8th Army, Major General Vladimir Frolov, was killed in action in Ukraine, the eighth general to be cancelled by Ukrainian defenders since the invasion began on February 24th, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The only reason they confirmed it was because Frolov was buried in St Petersburg on Saturday but did not offer any other details as to when or how he was canceled. The Journal reports the 8th Army was deployed in Eastern Ukraine, near the besieged Azov port city of Mariupol.
