Douglas Uhde, the man accused of killing a retired Wisconsin judge on Friday, had a list of other targets including the name of Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic governors Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan and Tony Evers of Wisconsin, Reuters reports.
John Roemer, the retired judge, was shot and killed at his home by Uhde, who went down to the basement of the judge’s and shot himself. Uhde survived and is currently in critical condition at a local hospital.
Roemer sentenced Uhde in a 2005 armed burglary case in which Uhde pleaded no contest. Uhde received a six year sentence and nine years supervised release. There were twelve other people on the list, most of whom were connected to the case in some way.
