Preliminary ratings from CBS, NBC, and ABC show 19 million households tuned into the House January 6th Select Committee’s big primetime hearing on Thursday night, the New York Times reports. The initial figure does not include MSNBC, CNN, or Fox Business News as Nielsen takes a longer time to crunch cable channel numbers. Then there’s the internet viewership via streaming services, which may or may not ever be fully calculated. It’s a safe bet Fox News lost however.
Yes, Fox News, who “covered” the hearing by doing a muted split screen with all of the propaganda pals talking to Tucker and Hannity, went commercial free for the entire two-hour bloc as to prevent their fans from switching the channel and seeing the hearing in its raw form. The fucking weasels even shifted their own camera feed in the hearing room to the audience when video footage of the Capitol riot was played on screen because God forbid their fanboys were reminded of the violence.
