As we’ve said before, we’re not big on entertaining conspiracy theories here at National Zero. Strange things do have a habit of occurring in our world, like Jeffrey Epstein killing himself on the night his jail guards just so happened to be sleeping and the security cameras outside his cell just so happened to be malfunctioning, and Jack Ruby just so happened to have a lot of friends on the Dallas PD allowing him to get close enough to Lee Harvey Oswald, and that everything about the Denver International Airport just so happens to be really fucking weird even if you aren’t prone to believing all the bizarre stories about its provenance and true purpose.
Seriously who the fuck gave the people in this March 2021 caravan these t-shirts?
We can appreciate sincerely premised questions when some things don’t quite add up. After all, you can say that’s a lot of what we do here too. For example, of course Fox News was firing up the “Caravan” panic as a distraction ahead of the January 6th Committee hearings last week. Do we know that’s exactly why they were doing it? No, and we never will in absence of a Fox News employee showing us an internal email indicating that really was the case, which is pretty unlikely.
We know our audience accepts such conjecture as valid, if they hadn’t already came to the same conclusion themselves (many did). We prefer to think of it as “informed speculation”, even if on balance one could argue it’s the same as “connecting the dots” on a conspiracy theory.
Then there’s also the simplicity of it. We’re about 95% sure Jeffrey Epstein really did kill himself, for two reasons: The first is that he already tried to do it two weeks before he was successful, the second is that a wealthy 66 year old pedophile accustomed to doing whatever he wanted for decades was not going to adapt very well to spending the rest of his life in federal prison. The only doubt is circumstantial and it points only toward Donald Trump and Bill Barr, the former of whom was alleged to have made use of the services of the evil pimp, the latter whose father fucking hired Epstein to teach math to teenage girls way back in 1970 (this is true), and both of whom were responsible – albeit way up the chain of command – for securing the Manhattan jail in which Epstein was being held. Trump and Barr, not Hillary and fucking Janet Reno.
Thus it is undeniable that if Epstein was indeed silenced by someone other than himself, it is much simpler to believe that it was Donald Trump and/or Bill Barr that was behind it than it was Bill and/or Hillary Clinton, no matter how much the fanboys want to scream it was her.

It’s also pretty simple and straightforward to believe some nefarious powers that be detonated bombs planted in the World Trade Center caused the buildings to collapse, finishing the job the hijacked kamikaze airliners started. It’s not really supported by science or common sense because (A) the exterior columns that were destroyed by the planes’ impacts were load bearing and (B) jet fuel sure as shit does burn hot enough to melt structural steel. But at least it’s easy enough to understand and has one commonly accepted explanation among 9/11 truthers: Bush and Cheney wanted to invade the Middle East and make a shit ton of money on their investments with Halliburton so they staged a false flag attack on America – with the controlled demolition of both of the Twin Towers a key element of maximum carnage and property destruction.
If one 9/11 truther claims the planes were remote controlled and another claims they really were physically hijacked but the Al-Qaeda terrorists were helped by the CIA are they really disagreeing with each other? Is either assertion actually necessarily mutually exclusive?
Now contrast all of that with the 2020 election conspiracy theories. We could be here a long fucking time identifying the alleged “irregularities” and “proof” it was “rigged” and seriously no two ever seem to move in a straight line with each other. If China dropped off bamboo ballots in a submarine then why would the “Hammer and Scorecard” algorithm have to change votes from Trump to Biden? If there were more votes for Biden in Pennsylvania than there were voters then why would the “2000 Mules” need to go through all that trouble to harvest the votes of the living (which doesn’t actually invalidate them even if true, despite what the fanboys claim) and risk getting caught? If enough dead people voted in Wisconsin then why would the ballots need to be marked with a secret radioactive isotope or whatever the fuck “kinematic artifact” is?
It appears as though Republicans are starting to realize they’re going to need a political defense – and Trump a criminal defense – that he actually believed the 2020 election was stolen. We don’t need to tell you how risible it is, but think of the implications of it: Imagine prosecutors have credible sworn testimony from at least two Trump minions or a recording or something to that effect in which Trump plainly and clearly stated he knew he had lost to Joe Biden but still pressured Mike Pence and Brad Raffensperger to overturn the election anyway and how easy the case would be to make with that evidence in hand. And how hard it would be without.
Because that’s Trump’s only real defense. There’s certainly no denying some very well documented instances of him committing felonies by pressuring both officials to overturn the election. Not knowing the exact mechanics of mens rea in trial procedure leaves us a little blind to how exactly it would shake out as far as the judge is concerned. We can’t predict if a federal judge would allow Trump’s lawyers to argue “He really believed the election was stolen” to the jury, but we would feel better if the “smocking gun” that he in fact knew fully well that he had lost was in hand.
If it happens, the trial is going to be downright apocalyptic media and political shitstorm. That all of Trump’s of his advisors and even family members having told him he lost and there was no fraud, nor the fact that he couldn’t just stick to one story about why he “believed” it was rigged is going to calm it down. Hard proof he affirmatively knew it was a lie would still help.
Not going to lie, was really hoping at today’s hearing we’d see something like Jason miller or Bill Stepien in a taped deposition with the House January 6th Select Committee saying “Yeah Trump told me in the Oval Office on December 17th, 2020 he knew it was bullshit and he lost on but liked being president so he tried to overturn the election.” The MAGA Deep State must’ve deleted it.
