New Zealand authorities have designated American far right groups the Proud Boys and The Base as terrorist organizations, thereby making it illegal to fund, recruit or participate in the groups, the AP reports. Neither group is known to be active in New Zealand, but officials wanted to make a preemptive strike against MAGA terrorism before it takes root in Kiwi Land.
