The Republican Senate Campaign Committee on Tuesday filed a brief supporting the Green Party in their ballot access lawsuit against the North Carolina Board of Elections, Dem lawyer Mark Elias reports. Elias did not elaborate or link the brief itself, but the suit stems from a June 30th decision by the board in which they voted against recognizing the Greenies as an official party “citing an ongoing investigation into evidence of fraud and other irregularities in the petition process used to seek ballot access for the party… By a vote of 3-2, the Board voted down a motion to recognize the Green Party, concluding that the petitions were not yet shown to be sufficient under the law,” so you just know the GOP are patriotically fighting for enviro-leftist third party voters in the state.

Fucking weasels. You would think Republicans would be more competent at this and invest actual time, money, and effort into making sure the Greens’ petitions were valid before they went before the Board if they were so interested having them split votes off from Democrats on election day. Especially after they fucked up in multiple states in backing them and Kanye West in 2020 – showing up late on the day the petition was due, forging Mickey Mouse’s signature on the petition, and blatantly lying about the petitions’ true purpose to the people who did actually sign.

So slapdash was the effort that of the six major swing states in 2020, only Michigan had Green Party candidate Howie Hawkins on the ballot while Kayne West was on none of them. They never learn from their own incompetence and have left the paper trail to prove it. If meanwhile the Dems are secretly funding and backing the Libertarians then they sure as shit have been pretty successful at it, both by making sure they’re on the ballot and leaving none of their fingerprints.
