“This White House Press Secretary is terrible, and yet we won’t talk about it in the media or in Washington, DC because she’s Black and lesbian,” self-hating Trump lackey Ric Grenell says on third-tier cable network Newsmax.  “And I wanna be very clear:  this is outrageous.  She is not up to the job.  She is spinning.  She doesn’t know what she’s doing, and I’m tired of people dancing around this identity politics stuff when she isn’t qualified to be the White House Press Secretary.

With a Masters degree in Public Administration from Columbia, Karine Jean-Pierre was previously a regional director for the White House Office of Political Affairs during the Obama Administration and then ran the campaigns in battleground states for the 2012 Obama campaign, which saw him virtually every battleground state.  And Jean-Pierre actually holds press conference and answers questions without reading word-for-word out of a binder. 

If we were to take up Grenell’s perspective on things, we could say that Grenell wasn’t qualified for any of the diplomatic posts he held during the Trump Administration, but he was put in those jobs because he is a gay white man and Republicans like their show ponies.  We would note his job as a spokesman for the State Department during the W Administration was marked by his providing absolute BS answers to events in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as a general hostility to the people who dared to ask him questions.  He was horrible.  We would also point out that he continues to violate his oath of office by supporting the overthrow of the Constitution, and doing it in his typical gay man passive-aggressive manner with a soft tone to his voice and effeminate gestures.  We would also note that Grenell was selected for his job because he is a gay white man: he was in way over his depth in a job he only got because he was gay and Trump put him in the DNI slot temporarily to show he has gay friends, because obviously Trump believed a gay man could not handle a full-time job in his administration.

But we won’t do that.  Instead, we’ll just point out that Grenell was appointed acting Director of National Intelligence for Donald Trump though Grenell had no experience in national security or national intelligence–other than reading statements at a podium–and he was in way over his depth in that job.  How bad was he?  Well, as Trump’s special envoy for Serbia and Kosovo, he single-handedly caused a coup in Kosovo by demanding a US-friendly leader accept a peace deal that gave Serbia significant concessions from Kosovo, destroying the peace talks he was directed to finalize.

Don’t take our word for how bad Grenell’s diplomatic skills are.  All the evidence you need is the fact that two years after his idol was booted from office, Grenell isn’t working for some international NGO or even as a representative for an multinational conglomerate; he’s sitting on a couch on a TeeVee set hosting a morning show on third-tier cable conservative propaganda network that ranks behind the Golf Network.
