The extremist Iranian regime on Wednesday apparently throttled internet access across the nation in an attempt to squash ongoing violent anti-government protests the erupted after the murder of 22 year-old Mahsa Amini by police, the AP reports. Advocacy group NetBlocks said traffic had dropped by as much as 75% as cops swarmed into Tehran ahead of a planned noon protest.
“The incident is likely to further limit the free flow of information amid protests,” said NetBlocks in an assessment. Nevertheless, video captured Wednesday of at least 30 women in Tehran removing their headscarves and chanting “Death to the dictator!” while passing cars honked in support still made it out amid the slowed data traffic. Sounds like the Ayatollah could be in deep Shiite!
Hahaha! Get it? The Iranians are Shiites and when we say “deep Shiite” it’s really funny because it’s spelled very similarly to “shit”! That’s the kind of cutting edge humor we specialize in here.
