Biden says 22 million have applied for student loan relief

Speaking at Delaware State University on Friday, President Joe Biden said 22 million Americans have applied so far under his student debt relief program, CBS News’s Steve Portnoy reports.

Earlier on Friday CNBC reported the relief could start going out as soon as Sunday, barring any last minute successful injunction by a right wing judge. It’s an unlikely prospect at best as Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett on Thursday tossed a petition from a MAGA Wisconsin group.
