An ally of Pakistani ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan said Thursday that the former leader has been wounded in a shooting at a rally in Punjab province, Bloomberg reports. “He is stable. The bullet hit his leg. He is being shifted to a hospital in Lahore,” said Asad Umar, former finance minister and leader of Khan’s party, told a TV channel. The former Prime Minister, expelled from office by the National Assembly earlier this year on corruption charges and last month barred from running again, has been leading his fans toward the capital Islamabad to demand new elections.
