BREAKING NEWS – The grim and violent 1990 classic King of New York starring Christopher Walken, Laurence Fishburne, David Caruso, and Wesley Snipes is now free on Amazon Prime’s “FreeVee” service. Stop what you’re doing or watching and immediately check out this epic tale with a body count rivaling that of the Rambo movies – a body count which oddly enough does not include Steve Buscemi’s character. It’s true. That’s about the only spoiler here in this report.
Well that and the hilariously over-the-top scene above. King of New York is an exaggerated snapshot of Gotham at its darkest and ugliest, with less of a plot than most pornographic movies. It is kind of pornographic too, both in the traditional sense and in the “violence porn” sense.
