It took a month, but on Friday a team of German flight engineers were able to unfuck the antenna on the European Space Agency’s Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer probe, the Associated Press reports.
The probe, currently en route the survey, Callisto, Ganymede, and – of course – Europa, required some good old-fashioned physical shaking to get the 52-foot antenna unfolded. Literally. They had to jolt the entire craft remotely to get a stuck pin loose enough to get out of the antenna’s way.
