There’s no point in trying to claim credit for the predictions we’ve gotten right in our nearly three years cranking out National Zero. Other shit like saying the Durham Report was going to be a dud, that Rudy Giuliani was the source of the “Biden bribery” vaporware, and that Jim Jordan’s FBI “whistleblowers” were deranged MAGA pilled washouts who had no real evidence of political bias inside the bureau, those were all pretty easy calls.

They were all narrow situations in which past performances were good indicators if not guarantees of future results. With that, it’s pretty helpful to look at the current Robert F Kennedy Jr media hype circlejerk as not at all a sui generis effort, but a rerun of the same Jill Stein-Tulsi Gabbard-Kanye West third party “populist” scam by the same fucking fascists who oh-so desperately want Trump to return to power by capitalizing on the empty imaginations of the nihilistic lame brain no-info “voters” who may or may not show up on election day, good luck getting them to register for a Dem primary.

There’s a reason Roger Stone and Steve Bannon are backing RFK Jr, because an “insurgent” primary run against Biden and then probably a third party campaign by a guy with his name recognition is their best shot at getting Trump back in the White House so he can pardon them again. The problem as it was with Kanye West is that the name only goes so far when he goes on Joe Rogan’s podcast and literally says shit like “Wifi radiation opens up your blood-brain barrier so all these toxins that are in your body can now go into your brain.” Who the fuck actually thinks this guy’s going to be mentally competent enough to run a campaign capable of peeling off enough swing voters from Biden in a third party run? They’d seriously be better off with Kyrsten Sinema as she’d have plenty of face time with suburban moms while she’s buying up the whole clearance section at a TJ Maxx.

We say “probably” in the headline because of course anything can happen. It’s just that this one thing where the weight of all of RFK Jr’s batshittery dilutes any potential for a real impact on the 2024 election bears down too late for the sunk cost to his backers to be refunded is the most likely.
