Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith’s top lieutenant on the Trump regime’s post-2020 election coup attempt investigation, federal prosecutor Thomas Windom, is present at the DC Courthouse again on Thursday, Politico’s Kyle Cheney reports, while cheekily adding “UPDATE: [Windom] just returned from the cafeteria with a Vitamin Water. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?”
Cheney didn’t mention the grand jury or any recognizable witnesses, tracking with NBC reporter Ryan Reilly’s Tuesday vigil in which he specifically wrote “The grand jury has left for the day, as has Windom. No notable witnesses were spotted in the courthouse.” Which may or may not be an indicator that the grand jurors are voting on indictments this week. Fingers crossed.
