In an unsurprising result in a district with an R+11 rating from Cook Political, Republican Celeste Maloy is projected to keep GOP control of Utah’s 2nd Congressional District seat, vacated by Chris Stewart, who resigned from Congress to care for his ailing wife. Election guru Dave Wasserman called the race against Democrat Kathleen Riebe and some Libertarian douchewaddle. The race fills the 435th and final seat in the House of Representatives.
