A federal judge on Tuesday ordered infamous former Rowan County, Kentucky clerk Kim Davis to pay $260,104 in fees and expenses to attorneys who represented a gay couple whose marriage license Davis denied back in 2015 citing her religious concerns, the Associated Press reports.
The thrice-divorced Davis, who was jailed briefly for refusing to do her job and subsequently lost reelection in 2018, has also been ordered to pay the couple $100,000 in damages.
