A Cobb County, Georgia judge on Monday dealt a dickpunch to Trump minion Mike Roman, a co-conspirator in the sprawling RICO case over the post-2020 election coup attempt in the state who sought to expose the relationship between Fulton County DA Fani Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade by dragging Willis into Wade’s ongoing divorce, MSNBC’s Katie Phang reports.
Basically Wade’s soon-to-be-ex-wife and Roman’s lawyers teamed up to get more info out of Wade and lost because they hadn’t shown that they exhausted all means of gathering it, so they can’t question Willis for now and maybe not ever because it all depends on how Wade’s deposition goes.
The even shorter version is this: Fani Willis and her deputy Nathan Wade are almost certainly in a relationship, which was stupid, but Trump and his minions have a very long road to go before they can prove it was in any way improper and an even longer one to getting the case tossed. It’s a bad look for Willis politically given the environment. It’s not the cheat code MAGA wants.
