Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, a man who has a FastPass card at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, has returned home from the hospital after two days of in-patient treatment for a bladder infection unrelated to earlier prostate surgery, CNN reports.
Deputy Secretary Kathleen Hicks assumed Austin’s responsibility and duties at the Pentagon as Austin recovers. Austin underwent “non-surgical procedures under general anesthesia to address his bladder issue” his doctors said in a Monday statement, and is expected to return to his office, again, by the end of the week.
