Former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weaselberg Weisselberg on Monday morning arrived at the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and will later appear in court to plead guilty to a charge of perjury he caught while taking the stand in New York Attorney General Letitia James’s massive civil fraud lawsuit against the fat former president’s corrupt business empire, CNN reports.
It’ll be the second conviction for the 70-something year-old former bean counter, coming less than a year after he was released a few weeks early from a five-month bid on Rikers Island in April 2023 after having pleaded guilty to tax fraud. The implications of Weaselberg’s newest plea are unknown at this point but the timing is not great for his demented orange boss’s first criminal trial over the 2016 Stormy Daniels hush money payoff, as jury selection begins in just three weeks.
