An eight year-old East St Louis boy is lucky to be alive after cops caught him making the rookie mistake of driving on the wrong side of the road downtown at 4:00 AM Monday, KDSK reports.
The boy, name and gender not made public by St Louis Metro PD, was not charged, but his mom, who was too drunk to tell him to keep to the right side of the road as he drove them back toward the Illinois side of the Mississippi, was hit with two counts of First-degree child endangerment. The second charge was because a toddler in the car didn’t tell the kid to stay on the right either.
