Berlin’s top budget official on Thursday said they’re accepting offers of zero Euros to whoever wants to take over Nazi Reichsminister Joseph Goebbels’s lakeside villa in the German capital’s outskirts, provided they can pick up millions in upkeep costs for the property, AFP reports.
Finance Minister Stefan Evers mentioned only costs, not really anything like “Hey you can’t turn it into a shrine to the Third Reich,” but we’d have to assume that would be a prerequisite. Hopefully it’s a prerequisite. Evers also said that if they can’t find a taker for the luxurious home soon they’ll have no choice but to simply demolish it. They should probably just demolish it.
