The account is just the latest example of textbook racism from Donald Trump, who discriminated against Black tenants, suggested the Exonerated Five should face the death penalty, and launched his political career spreading the racist birther conspiracy theory against President Barack Obama.”

Quite possible this might have some legs, but a lot hinges on confirmation from the other two people in the room with producer Bill Pruitt on the day in question. Either way Team Biden should go ahead and cut an ad with a reenactment of the audio, with the Trump voiceover impersonator bleeped out right at the “gg” but leaving in the “ni” and “er” parts, while panning across a still image of runner-up Kwame Jackson. Then immediately roll the clip of Trump choosing the white guy and fade out with “I’m Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden and I approve this message.”
