“Governor Greg Abbott today demanded Vice President Kamala Harris declare Tren de Aragua (TdA) as a foreign terrorist organization during her visit to Houston, where Jocelyn Nungaray was brutally murdered by members of the Venezuelan gang. ‘Vice President Kamala Harris conveniently claims she cares about securing our border, yet her open border policies have allowed over 11 million illegal immigrants and dangerous criminals, like Tren de Aragua, into our country in the last four years, putting the lives of every American at risk. In fact, today she’s in Houston, the same city where innocent 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray was raped and murdered by two Tren de Aragua gang members. Jocelyn, her family, and all Americans deserve better. Vice President Harris must follow Texas’ lead and designate Tren de Aragua as a foreign terrorist organization immediately.”

We were unaware that the Vice President of the United States has the power to designate a criminal gang as a foreign terrorist organization. We thought that only the president, currently Joe Biden, could do that. Another issue with this demand is that, by Trumpian standards, the tragic murder of Jocelyn Nungaray was actually a failure by Abbott since he’s a weak and feckless governor who failed to protect Texans. It’s clear here that between Abbott’s demand and convicted felon former President Trump’s Friday afternoon white nationalist “press conference” in Austin, the two erectile dysfunction patients were trying to divert the day’s news cycle away from the vice president’s massive rally centered on women’s health issues and the barbarism of the Lone Star State.
Trump himself addressed the effectiveness of the Harris rally Saturday morning, posting “Abortion has dropped way down as an issue. States are already giving it to the PEOPLE to Vote, which is what everyone wanted. Like Ronald Reagan, I believe in the EXCEPTIONS for Rape, Incest, and the Life of the Mother. Many States are already done, others are moving to a vote now. A 52 year contentious issue will finally be coming to a close. The focus now is on the broken Border, Inflation and the Economy!” as if Texas has those exceptions or is holding a referendum on Election Day. It isn’t.
