Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on Tuesday told reporters her government will respond in-kind to convicted felon President-Elect Trump’s threat to impose 25 percent tariffs on all imports from the US’s southern neighbor by imposing tariffs of her own, per Reporte Indigo.
“It is not with threats or tariffs that we will address the migration phenomenon, or drug consumption in the United States, what is required is cooperation and mutual understanding to face these great challenges. One tariff will be followed by another in response, and so on until we put common enterprises at risk,” said Sheinbaum, plainly ready to help Trump find out if he fucks around.
