The initial rules vote on the spending package President Elon Musk and his lowly supplicant Donald Trump forced upon the House failed Thursday night, falling short of the 2/3rds threshold required to advance. It’s not completely sunk yet, but it’s also a bad look for Republicans and the very zero votes of support from Dems does not bode well going forward. The vote is still ongoing but with more than 145 no votes at the current moment – 16 of them from Republicans – this round is over.
