The reactions to convicted felon President-Elect Trump’s endorsement of House Speaker Mike Johnson’s bid for another tour with the gavel ranged from despondent to something sort of like acceptance by default because they don’t actually care who it is. The top is cope-heavy:
“What is Trump thinking? Johnson is going to stab him in the back. Trump is starting to make ill-advised decisions. For instance, Trump now supports H-1B visas for zillions of foreigners from the Global South (mainly India) who come to replace us. That is NOT what we voted for” – Top comment on the OAN article “Trump Backs Johnson For House Speaker, Criticizes Democrats: ‘It Was a Disaster!’” No, you voted to keep Trump out of prison. You’ve already served your purpose.
“What does president Trump see in Mike Johnson that the rest of us don’t see?” – Top comment on Blaze Media’s article. Wrong question. There is no “the rest of us.” He doesn’t give a fuck about you subtards. You no longer matter to him – unless you’re in the market for a new electric guitar.
“It’s beginning to sound like the same old crap” – Top comment on Breitbart’s article “Donald Trump Endorses Mike Johnson amid Fight for His Gavel.” Among the replies to that one, “Explain the same old crap exactly,” came from a certain Disqus user familiar to National Zero commenters who haven’t already blocked him. Two hours have since gone be and the OP didn’t explain it to him, lol.
I don’t care who endorses him. Mike Johnson is an AWFUL choice for Speaker.
He’s weak as hell, as he’s proven time and time again.
He’ll be vacated soon enough.

“The problem is not who is Speaker…the problem are the ones on the GOP side that are determined above all else to get a bunch of Uncle Sugar to spread around and put their name on…and will burn down the House if they don’t get that manna” – Top comment on RedState’s article. Well there’s that old “Trump cannot fail, he can only be failed” type of cope we know and definitely don’t love. Was worried that it could be a few more hours before the MAGAverse restored balance and order.
“They need to get a speaker in place to prevent Chuck Grassley from being President. The bickering can wait until after Trump takes the oath. That’s his reasoning in a nutshell” – Top comment on the Gateway Pundit’s article, emphasis the Disqus user’s. The Pundit headlined it “BREAKING: Trump Endorses Unpopular House Speaker Mike Johnson for Speaker in Bizarre Move,” emphasis ours on the cope. The commenter at least leaned on the bedrock QAnon psalm of “Trust the plan” to keep faith that Trump will immolate Johnson after January 20th. Gateway Pundit writer Jordan Conradson leaned on Job 23 in his lengthy tale of grief, noting that “The final results of [edgleord Congressman Thomas] Massie’s [Twitter] poll show that out of nearly 180,000 respondents, 93.3 percent want ‘somebody else’ to be the House Speaker, and only 6.7 percent want Johnson” and that “This is not the only surprising endorsement Trump has made recently. As The Gateway Pundit reported last week, Trump signaled support for Never-Trump RINO and former Kari Lake opponent Karrin Taylor Robson in the 2026 election for Arizona Governor while speaking in Phoenix, Arizona.” Lol.
“They can always let Tromp get in and inaugurated then vacate the chair and toss his ass out” – Top reply to a post about Trump endorsing Johnson on QAnon fan site GreatAwakening. See?
Hey @SpeakerJohnson
Just because Trump endorsed you for Speaker doesn’t mean we won’t be watching you.
If you value your political career, delivering Trump’s agenda should be your ONLY concern.
We voted for it. We will get it.

“Trump obviously wants this resolved before he goes into office. I see why – a battle for speaker and the hard feelings it would cause would distract from the things he needs to get done early” – Top comment on Twitchy’s article. Similar story as the above comment, but also hinting that fanboys really just don’t give a fuck since it doesn’t really actually matter which Republican holds the gavel when Trump is president – they’re all just going to suffer and toil under his malevolent rule.
“The Republican Party must demonstrate unwavering unity and collective resolve by ensuring full participation in voting when called upon. Speaker Johnson has been performing effectively, and any attempt to replace him would inevitably fracture party cohesion, as dissent among at least a handful of members is almost guaranteed. It is imperative for Republicans to convey a united front, unequivocally supporting both Speaker Johnson and former President Trump. This solidarity is essential not only for the party’s internal strength but also for presenting a cohesive vision to the American electorate” – Top comment on Fox News’s article. Hmmmm… Not be paranoid or anything but would it be terribly shocking if someone who writes for Fox News’s nightly “infotainment” shows also wrote that post and then pumped in a shit ton of fake upvotes to boost it to the top?
Nah—You are a weak leader & a RINO
You sold out Republicans and should NOT be Speaker
Real Republicans should Vote against RINO Mike!

“I wonder why The Post finds it necessary to mention Trump’s age in virtually EVERY article” – Top comment on the New York Post’s story. Wonder why the reader didn’t follow through and conclude that it must be because the Murdoch cabal are planning to induce a fatal heart attack and then kill JD Vance in a staged pull-out couch accident so Johnson can take over the presidency.
“I have to part ways with Trump on this one. From what I’ve seen Johnson is a spineless worm who doesn’t have enough moral fortitude to convict him of being a Christian, let alone a good leader. A Christian stands for that which is moral and right regardless of what they conceive to be the outcome. Johnson’s been devoid of said qualities. I understand Trump is concerned about a delay in his certification for his ascent to the Whitehouse and that’s the primary reason for endorsing Johnson. I fear this will be regrettable long term” – Top comment on Alpha News’s article. Always entertaining when MAGA dipshits are right about something but for all of the wrong reasons.
The American voters gave Trump a mandate to stop all the reckless spending …
Speaker Johnson's reaction … Hey, let's spend almost a million dollars on a gay senior home.
Pathetic. pic.twitter.com/Vsol4yEeNx

Trump 2028.

That last one is among several that Catturd posted in the hour after his Orange Allah endorsed Johnson. Not a single one of them mentioned the Speaker. Before Monday, the animal feces-themed right wing influencer ripped Johnson in hundreds of posts, far too many to count.
