Convicted felon President Trump on Tuesday told Senate GOP leaders to consider allowing recess appointments for his shitbag nominees, knowing that Robert F Kennedy Jr, Tulsi Gabbard, Kash Patel, and – once again – Pete Hegseth face trouble in getting 50 votes, Politico reports.
On the Hegseth thing: Ex-sister-in-law Danielle Hegseth wrote in the affidavit that Pete’s second ex-wife Samantha had shared a code word with Danielle to alert her when Hegseth threatened her and texted it at least once in 2015 or 2016. She also wrote that in 2009, Hegseth was found drunk at a strip joint in downtown Minneapolis – wearing his military uniform while drunk and getting lap dances. He had to be dragged out of the club. And that he disparaged Latinos and said Christian people needed to have more babies than Muslims to avoid being overtaken, per USA Today.
In related news, Time on Tuesday reported that Iowa Senator Joni Ernst was threatened with a primary challenge if she failed to vote yes on Hegseth’s nomination. “How do I make it stop?” Ernst asked another Republican before she caved and publicly supported Petey Pee-Pants.
