Acting Defense Secretary Robert Salesses is on Wednesday expected to sign an order deploying 1,500 active duty troops to the Mexican border, the AP reports. It’s the exact same number that former President Joe Biden deployed in May 2023, when the border was “open,” according to Republicans, but now it means convicted felon President Trump is really “strong” or some bullshit.
