Sources tell Politico that former Vice President Kamala Harris last weekend was asked at an Oscars party when she would make a decision on whether to run for governor of California or to skip it for the 2028 presidential race, primaries in which she’d be a favorite, though the former – its field completely frozen for her – much more prohibitively than the latter. Her answer: By summer’s end.
National Zero’s editorial position is that Kam was robbed and, though hindsight is 20/20 and of course there were things she could’ve done better, that she ran what would’ve been a winning campaign if not for the hole she started in. There’s zero doubt Congressional Dems would’ve done worse than they did if not for her run. California governor is beneath her and she should run in 2028.
That said, can’t remember exactly when Hillary Clinton felt comfortable enough to begin heckling Trump in 2017, and Trump himself heckling Biden in 2021. It probably wasn’t this early on for either of them. Still would like to see some news about her positioning herself to begin to speak up if not actually speaking up and heckling the fat fuck. It’s undeniable that there’s a leadership vacuum in the Democratic Party right now and the opportunity to backseat drive the way the man-baby did for most of Biden’s term is right there in front of her. She needs to start screaming in his ear soon.
