Constellation Brands, the US importer of Modelo, Corona, and Pacifico beers, says sales dipped 1 percent last quarter, something the company blames on convicted felon President Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigrants, who aren’t shopping as much, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Constellation CEO Bill Newlands told the Journal some Latino shoppers are shifting their shopping to large retail chains in an attempt to blend into a crowd, and are no longer frequenting smaller convenience stores or bodegas that primarily serve Hispanic consumers.
