Scattered reports from online shoppers to the Washington Post indicate that carriers like UPS and DHL are now shaking down recipients for tariff fees on shit they already ordered from overseas-based retailers. One of them, an Austin-based programmer Ben Dominguez-Benner said he ordered a $183 cord-organizing system from CRDBAG, a Swedish company, only for UPS to send him an email on May 2 saying he owed them $137.42 for “Government Charges” on the items.
Dominguez-Benner paid up, but wasn’t happy about it. Thanks Trump, you fat fucking maniac.
