The first exit poll from Poland’s Sunday presidential election finds pro-EU centrist Warsaw mayor Rafal Trzaskowski with a freaking tight-ass 50.17 to 49.83 percent edge over MAGA-backed right wing historian Karol Nawrocki. Exit polls are usually shit in the United States, but in a lot of other countries – Poland included – they tend to be predictive of the outcome. Outgoing incumbent right winger Andrej Duda was ahead over Trzaskowski by 50.4 to 49.6 percent in the first 2020 exit poll and ultimately won with 51.3 percent of the vote. It ain’t over yet, but it’s a good sign.
