Asked by Politico why his bio on his company’s website said that he “holds commercial, multi-engine and instrument ratings” when the agency he seeks to lead do not list him as among commercial aviator license holders, convicted felon President Trump’s FAA nominee Bryan Bedford, CEO of regional airline Republic Airways, didn’t respond directly at all as of Sunday and probably still hasn’t.
He did however indirectly respond by either personally removing or having one of his staff remove the word “commercial” from the biography. Bedford did not perjure himself on the matter during his hearing last week and Politico concludes he’s probably going to secure nomination easily.
