Oklahoma state Superintendent of Education Ryan Walters on Tuesday declared that the law enforcement investigation into Oklahoma state Superintendent of Education Ryan Walters had cleared him of any impropriety for having a screen displaying naked ladies during a meeting in his office last week, KFOR reports on a complete and total exoneration for the controversial official.
“We have had our name cleared by both the Oklahoma Office of Management and Enterprise Services and the sheriff’s office,” Walters said, using “we” and “our” for reasons unclear but he is an education professional, you know, so it’s probably proper usage. Plus he’s an expert on pronouns.
“There is nothing scandalous that I was a part of whatsoever,” Walters added, switching back to “I.”
A spokesman for the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office disagreed with Walters’ facts. “That simply isn’t the case,” Aaron Brilbeck told KFOR. “Our investigation is still ongoing. In fact, I would categorize it as being in its infancy. This is going to be a very thorough investigation. And once the investigation is complete, we’re going to be very transparent with our findings,” Brilbeck continued with his alternative viewpoint on whether Walters is under investigation for the naked ladies incident.
Walters on Tuesday also educated media on the theory that the television in his office displaying the naked ladies was simply tuned to a cable network of an unspecified nature. “None of my devices were ever connected to that TV,” Walters told reporters, adding that the sheriff’s office “concluded there weren’t devices connected to” the television. Brilbeck later again had alternative facts about that specific aspect, saying the sheriff’s office had not made such a determination.
