“Dear Attorney General Bondi, Pursuant to USC §2954 which holds in relevant part that an Executive agency on request of… the Committee on [Homeland Security and] Governmental Affairs of the Senate or any five members thereof shall submit any information requested of it relating to any matter within the jurisdiction of the committee we request the full and complete Epstein files as identified by the Department of Justice,” writes Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in a letter co-signed by no fewer than seven other Dems exploiting a 1928 statute to further exploit the self-inflicted political vulnerability to the Trump Regime still posed by the dead sex trafficker.
Naturally, according to the New York Times, it’s not going to be that straightforward as they write the law “has been infrequently used, and it has not faced significant tests in court, raising questions over whether it can be enforced.” Just as naturally, however, such a court fight isn’t the worst consolation prize politically since, well, you know… It’s not the greatest look politically for convicted felon President Trump to be ordering Bondi and her minions to be fighting against the release of the files they said they were going to release until they changed their minds earlier this month.
