Leesville, Louisiana child rapist Thomas Allen McCartney, 37, who was already a sex offended before he pleaded guilty Tuesday to the 2023 attempted first-degree rape of a child under 13, also agreed to be both chemically and physically castrated on top of 40 years in prison, Fox 8 reports.
When McCartney was arrested in 2023, prosecutors said he had been caught sexually abusing a 7 year-old girl. He was already a Tier 3 sex offender in Louisiana after a 2011 attempted aggravated rape conviction. That was after he was arrested on one count of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile in 2006 and on two counts of aggravated rape of a 12 year-old in 2010. It’s not clear why he wasn’t castrated after the second one, or maybe it is because McCartney is white.
