Sources tell ABC News that convicted felon President Trump and his minions are pushing Virginia federal prosecutors to indict New York Attorney General Letitia James for something something mortgage fraud “despite investigators so far failing to find sufficient evidence supporting such charges,” per ABC. In response to the friction, FHFA chief Bill “Scott Bessent’s bitch” Pulte has been nagging his Orange God Emperor to fire Eastern District of Virginia US Attorney Eric Siebert and find another prosecutor who is willing to do the important job of avenging Trump’s defeats in court.
The “case” against James is currently or has been already actually in front of a grand jury and as many as 15 witnesses have testified in front of them, among them insurers, loan officers, underwriters, realtors, and James’ niece, none of which was enough to clear the burden of finding probable cause that James knowingly lied about a convoluted situation. Basically all the “evidence” they have is that someone at a third-party closing company fucked up and used the wrong template for a single form – this while every other document was in order – to process James’ mortgage on a house in Virginia. Oh and that another document from 2001 concerning a Brooklyn townhouse James owns incorrectly listed it as a four-bedroom home when there are actually five bedrooms.
There’s no mention of whether the “case” has been no true billed by the grand jury but if 15 fucking witnesses have come and gone and nothing then just lol, what the hell is firing the US Attorney going to do? An even funnier sign of the regime’s impotence here is the email sent out by enforcer “Eagle Ed” Martin looking for more internal DOJ recruits for the effort pasted into ABC’s article.
Under the subject line, “Help Wanted,” Martin called upon the attorneys to become “fighters for justice and goodness and the American way,” and invoking the words of Franklin Roosevelt Attorney General and later Supreme Court Justice Robert Jackson, who famously warned that prosecutors pursuing political foes is “the greatest danger of abuse of prosecuting power” and “The qualities of a good prosecutor are as elusive and as impossible to define as those that mark a gentleman.”
“In a special way, the [Special Attorney Fraud Unit] is called to hold bad actors accountable. After all, as New York, [sic] Attorney General Leticia [sic] James said, ‘Because no matter how big, rich, or powerful you think you are, no one is above the law,'” Eagle Ed continued in his trollish email.
