Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Education Ryan Walters on Thursday tendered his resignation from the post, apparently finally having taking the hint conveyed to him repeatedly by other leading Sooner State Republicans to get the fuck out after he managed to make them look bad in comparison with his constant dumbassery, KCCO reports. Walters, whose exit ramp seems to be leading some far-right educational non-profit, is leaving just over halfway through a term whose lowlights included a blatant scam to buy up millions’ worth of copies of convicted felon President Trump’s stupid MAGA Bible, requiring mentions of race excised from lessons on the 1921 Tulsa race massacre, hiring fucking Libs of TikTok as an advisor, a 2023 tweet heavily implying he thinks the “T” in “CRT” stands for “transgenderism” and not “theory,” and being accused of watching porn during an executive meeting of the state Board of Education, raising further suspicion by getting really defensive about it and falsely claiming he’d been exonerated, and then being legitimately exonerated when it all turned out to be a bizarre mishap caused by Samsung’s insistence on giving customers 5,000+ channels of filler content free with every purchase of a smart TV.

It’s anyone’s guess what the actual final straw was to get Walters to hit the road and get a job with whatever slush fund hired him. Maybe it was the porn incident or when Secretary of Education Linda McMahon, who has zero actual experience in federal education policy but used to be the CEO of a fake fighting circus, disinvited Walters to an event last month. Would be interesting if that disassociation did it rather than the association like that a close ally was a gay pornstar with the stage name of Jeff Rose before he got into the world of education-themed MAGA media.
