In the weeks before he voted to gut Medicaid with those bullshit “work requirements,” Pennsylvania Republican Congressman Rob Bresnahan, who literally campaigned on banning stock trades by members of the House and Senate, dumped as much as $133,000 worth of shares in companies that manage nearly half of all Medicaid enrollees in the country, NBC News reports.
Asked to comment, Bresnahan claimed to NBC he “never instructed my financial advisors on what to buy, sell, or hold. It is no secret that I built a successful career before serving, and I am beholden to no lobbyist or special interest,” as though the mere appearance of having engaged in insider training isn’t reason enough to tell his “financial advisors” to just not fucking do it.
