British nationals with actual business in the US – meaning not tourists or hipsters, actors, musicians, etc but even corporate executives at the c-suite level – are finding themselves rejected over some of the pettiest shit on their criminal records, like smoking weed, bar fights, and DWIs, offenses going back to the 1970s, the Financial Times reports on the fruits of Stephen Miller’s economic genius.
“The most remarkable aspect of this has been that people who had previously been given visas in the past, with the same history, are being refused today,” said Steve Heller, a US immigration lawyer based in the UK. “We are telling clients with existing visas that they should guard them with their lives,” said other lawyer Christi Jackson. “Anybody that has a criminal irregularity – no matter how minor – is unlikely to obtain a visitor visa, in some cases even a work visa, from London right now.”
“The Trump administration is upholding the highest standards of national security and public safety through the visa process,” said the Trump regime State Department in a statement, adding they “will not tolerate foreign visitors violating our laws.” Reminder that Trump pardoned multiple foreign-born criminals including crypto money launderer Changpeng Zhao and also moved French-born convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell from a real prison to a cushy Club Fed for staying quiet.
